Overview
A highly experienced and well respected business coach, consultant and trainer, John specialises in working with business leaders and their teams to help them drive significant growth and change.
He has coached individuals to take on senior responsibilities, organisations to innovate and grow, dysfunctional teams to be effective and businesses to change their culture. He has worked with over 200 organisations coaching, mentoring and training business owners, MD’s, senior directors and managers.

John has a strong focus on people and team development, combining his professional training as a coach with real ‘been there and done it’ experience to help people understand and develop the mind-set and behaviours they need to drive better performance. He has a proven ability to mobilise, enthuse and coach business teams to deliver results.
Experience
A materials scientist by training with a PhD in composites, John applied this to artificial limb development, precision optical moulding and watch manufacture. This was followed by a successful technical and commercial career in the polymer and chemicals industry where he held senior positions in blue chip organisations in the UK. His roles included operations, International sales, marketing and general management with global responsibility for a £23m turnover business and extensive international experience across South East Asia, USA and Europe.
John has a passion for developing and coaching people to achieve their goals and realise their real potential. This led to him embarking on a professional coach training programme with Adler in Toronto and starting his own successful coaching business 12 years ago. He has worked on all of the Government backed high growth coaching programmes since 2007, coaching many leaders and teams across Manufacturing, Food, Engineering, IT, Architecture, professional services, public sector, marketing and leisure sectors. He is also founder and Co-director of the Professional Coaching Alliance and Principal of Adler Learning UK – a coach and leadership training business.
John is the lead tutor on the CMBD level 7 Strategic Change module. He is also an enthusiastic and qualified Rugby coach, a school governor and chairs his local business association.
