CMI Level 7 Professional Consulting
Designed for Professional Consultants who want to develop their professional consultancy abilities, and who will have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to drive consultancy activities in a senior capacity. These qualifications have been developed in cooperation with the Institute of Consulting (IC).
Course Overview
This qualification is designed for individuals wishing to develop their professional consultancy abilities, and who will have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to drive consultancy activities in a senior capacity.
Extensive research has been undertaken to ensure that these qualifications reflect tasks and activities of managers in the aforementioned roles in the workplace.
Sources of information include, but are not limited to:
- Comparability to existing Professional/Management Consulting programmes
- Chartered Management Consultant Competency Framework
- Stakeholder consultation
These Level 7 qualifications are delivered using a blended learning approach. his includes on-line learning using the CMI 'Management Direct' resource, tuition sessions with your tutor and feedback on your assignment work as you progress.
Additional coaching can be provided if required as an option.
What You Will Learn
This qualification is broken down into units and relevant topics aligned to the level and qualification. The units for the Level 7 Professional Consulting are:

- Practice of professional consulting
- Professional consulting expertise
- Leading innovation and change through professional consultancy
- Leadership in professional consulting
- Personal and professional development for professional consultants
- Delivering client requirements through professional consulting
You can choose to complete an Award (in which case you would complete any one of the above units), a Certificate (requiring two of the above units) or a Diploma (with four of the above completed). Who Should Attend
Professional individuals wishing to develop their professional consultancy abilities, and who will have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to drive consultancy activities in a senior capacity.
They will have the professionalism to deliver impact, behave ethically and demonstrate a commitment to continual learning and development. The qualifications have been designed for practising or aspiring Senior Management Consultants, wishing to formalise or develop their learning and who may wish to progress on to Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC).
