What were your initial thoughts?

"I freely admit that I was very sceptical about allowing an 'outsider' to come in to offer support and advice on a business that surely I and all our employees can only understand.

Our business has achieved significant growth over the last 2 years which has brought rewards but also many challenges. It was firstly great to hear that the challenges we faced are very normal, something that all growing businesses encounter."

How did you work with the team at CMBD?

"The skill set amongst the CMBD consultants (in particular Mike Epton, Serena Humphrey and Brent Warren) has been invaluable in helping me develop an effective strategy and plan to ensure the continuing success of our business.

My own personal development has also been greatly enhanced, I now have a vision and a plan which quite frankly would not have been at the required standard without the input of CMBD, the fresh ideas and support have taken me to a new level, also the agreement that we collaborate and the acknowledgement that it is our business and not being told what to do works very well."

What have you learnt?

"I used to feel that sitting in my office with a business consultant and making the present better and planning for the future was not real work, I should be making money, shouldn't I ???

I now know that was not the right approach because stress is not success!!"

Would you recommend CMBD?

"I have no hesitation in recommending the CMBD organisation, I certainly will continue to work with them."
